Ballet West’s Forward Steps is a groundbreaking Education and Outreach program that brings dance and ballet to Utah’s correctional facilities and treatment centers. It aims to help incarcerated and chemically dependent people find healthy modes of self-expression and coping mechanisms during a one-hour, no cost class. Ballet West has not found another ongoing program like Forward Steps that uses dance for rehabilitation in the United States.
